Starting out his career in special effects and set decorating, Vance quickly made a name for himself through his own love of design and a keen understanding of business. Today, Vance is based in the Hollywood Hills, enjoying the challenges and opportunities of a vibrant city which is seeing a resurgence of the architectural significance it was once renowned for. With an interest in both the historical and entrepreneurial landscape of Los Angeles, he has devoted years to designing everything from the foundation to the fork on the dining tables of recognized homes.

This history has molded her into someone who knows how to question and examine all of the details. Since then, she has made a name for herself in Los Angeles and at iDGroup with her design vision and executive sensibilities. With over 20 years in the industry, Sadeghian has refined both her style and business acumen. As a driving core, Sadeghian places emphasis on really making a design feasible and ensuring that the crucial details of building a dream project are in place. She has adapted her designer’s visual memory to managing the numbers crucial to running a business. On the real estate side, she has become an expert on everything from locating new ventures to due diligence to property management.

While her roles are many, Sadeghian is the one that ultimately ensures the final design finish is true to the value and accuracy iDGroup is known for. Sadeghian came to iDGroup with a wide spectrum of design experience, including projects with Michael Laird Architects and a career at Arya Group. She has accumulated significant experience with high end properties, building Los Angeles homes by architects Gwathmey Siegel and Richard Meier. Outside of architecture, Ferial has rounded out her creative skillset by studying all aspects of art, from sketching to pastels.

CSH 20(B) is also a brilliant testament that functional and attractive design can be achieved on a relatively modest budget. It’s a wonderful house that’s still there today, although I believe the barrel-vaulted roof has been replaced with a flat one. Working with Pete Mokler is not a job; it is an experience, one that only delights. The house he designed for us offers comfort and artistry and pleasure, applauded not only by us but also by all those who are enfolded in the serenity and closeness it exudes.

Pete Mokler designed a new home for my wife and I after we lost our home in a fire in South Lake Tahoe. Pete did a very good job of listening to our ideas and working with complex building codes to design a beautiful and unique home. Pete designed the home of our dreams; it was absolutely amazing architecture! Using our specialized expertise in recreation planning and design, we craft thoughtfully planned open space and engaging parks of all sizes. Those final design schematics were informed by community meetings held as early as 2016, when the park project began in earnest. Having specialized in restaurant design since 1969, we understand the nuances of operational flow, efficiency, and cohesiveness where larger, more generalized design firms may fall short.
He has had a chance to visit the obscure remains of Eastern European architecture and held offices in lush penthouses overlooking Hawaiian beaches. In these travels, he’s left behind new friends and new builds in diverse landscapes. Regardless of the locale, his eye is always drawn to something that can be further refined. There’s a dark room in the corner, where Hamilton develops his images, using chemical ingredients plucked from a wine cooler. Mr Mokler has worked for me on several projects the biggest one was on Ambergris Caye Belize where I asked him to convert a space under my main deck at my beach into a guest apartment.The design perimeters were extremely difficult. The result was fantastic, I ended up with a 1800 square foot, four bedroom two bath luxury masterpiece. The home owners also wanted a house that was more sculptural in form so features such as curved interior ceiling, barrel-vaulted roof, and circular brick fireplace were incorporated to reflect a home that was well suited to the home owner’s needs and desires. An unusual request of the Bass’ was that a large tree that was located on the site remain with the result being one wall of the home resting against the massive trunk of the tree as it soars through the open lattice of the terrace roof. The design of the house allows us to feel the comfort of home and the expanse of the wilderness. The one place I am always glad to be is my home and as I step into its embrace each time I walk through the front door, I am still amazed. Ferial Sadeghian grew up in Iran where she studied at an American grade school and later got her MArch at an Iranian University. The daughter of two diplomats, she grew up under unique and difficult circumstances during the Iranian Revolution.
